The design concept derived from Bank of Singapore’s (BOS) core business principles and values, “GROWTH wealth’, “NURTURE businesses”, “SUSTAINABLE succession planning. The design concept of GROWTH, NURTURE, SUSTAINABLE is translated into tangible icon and design elements creating a unique identity for BOS and expressing BOS’s culture and branding with creative, innovative and bespoke design solutions.
Growth
The design concept is metaphorically inspired by the plant Lobelia Deckenii which has a biological nature that embodies the concept of GROWTH, NURTURE, and SUSTAINABLE. The beauty of Lobelia deckenii lies in its incredible ability to adapt to both a vicious climate and changing environment. It is an icon recognised for its adaptability to grow even in the harshest conditions and its strength to sustainably multiply and nurture its next generation. It is in the same manner as BOS being a market leader in the harsh financial industry striving to achieve growth, nurture the wealth and business of its clientele and ensuring their sustainability and continuity in the long run.

Nurture

The physical form and appearance of the plant has been metaphorically translated into abstract graphical representation that brings out the inherent qualities of BOS. The leaves of the plant grows in a radiating pattern with a contrasting colour at the tip of each leave. This visual character is being transformed into a tangible abstract graphic pattern which is featured in the Main Concourse Lobby wall, external canopy and floor pattern design. By crafting our spaces experientially, we aim to create a design that will invoke inspiration.
