The design draws inspiration from chinese musical instrument and materials from chinese architecture. The forms and colour palette of the design embodies essence of this inspiration by translating them into functional spaces.

Music and Architecture

The wall design of the wall unifies the space to enhance the spatial volume of the concourse. The seemingly endless flow of material is akin to the sinuous melody created by an orchestra. The horizontal lines are symbolic of the strings on a ‘Guzheng’ and also representative of a timeline of the long history of Chinese musical instruments.
