The lift lobby at Tekka Place shopping center boasts hexagonal tiles in varied styles, injecting color and character into the wall design. Mimicking the tiles, the flooring features a fading pattern, while metal-framed lighting fixtures resemble baskets, enhancing the space's character.

Heritage in Textures, Hues & Form

At the outdoor shopfront of Tekka Place shopping center, prefabricated panels display geometric patterns, while the ceiling features a strategically abstract arrangement of wood slats.

Drawing inspirations from various cultural references, symbols and ideas, it strives to integrate the diverse culture harmoniously to create a tempting and attractive destination. Tekka Place serves as a recollection of the experience of Little India in a cozy and enticing environment.

The design is inspired by 3 key aspects of cultural and art references namely Arts & Crafts, Colours & Texture and Flavour. In various areas, traditional design references are translated and modernised before being incorporated as elements to accentuate tactile quality, create dynamic composition and enhance visual depth.
